Outstanding Fest, now on the annual list of fests to attend.
3 stages, 3 nights. Big "wows" to PA Line , Consider The Source, and Danielle Ponder and the Tomorrow People
The car-camping area (where I camped) was tight on space, but close to venue. The venue was in a beautiful forest area. lit up at night/ Weird things would appear (like monkeys clapping, and dudes dressed in medieval costumes playing laser tag.
I had never heard of Danielle Ponder, was headed to the show, heard some of her blues licks on the way (through the forest), and had memories of Katie Webster. Danielle did not disappoint. She can do Aretha, Etta, Miss Elliot. Tina Turner, and more (and she did). She is also hilarious, charming, and a crowd pleaser. Awesome vocals, awesome entertainer. I can't wait to see her again.
Consider The Source is a phenomenal trio, with incredible artists. That bass player is faster than any. The guitarist somehow pulls saxophone and trombone sounds out of his strings. The drummer could hold a show on his own, Together, they are mind-bogging.
PA Line. Well, the lead vocalist has an amazing voice and he knows how to use it. Original stuff is great. I expect chart breakers from him one day.
On my calendar for next year.
