This is a spectacular 3-Night festival, with great New Orleans Music and food.
Plenty of great N'Awlins music, plenty of room to camp, weather was great, free Jambalaya on first night.
3 Stages (Main, Covered Side, and Dance Hall). New Orleans groove with Dirty Dozen, Terrence Simien and The Zydeco Experience, Corey Henry and the Treme Funktet, Rebirth, Aaron Neville, Gino Dela fose & the French Rockin' Boogie, and more. Marcus King headlined one night.
Plenty of flat ground, close to stages. Water and ice easily available. Plenty of Porta-Pooty's with indoor facility at venue. Friendly people abound. Our area had late-nite bar (shut down by police at 4:00am, and Bloody-Mary bar hosted by Michael.
Running into old friends and legends was a bit of lagniappe for me.
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band joined Corey Henry and the Treme Funktet for a blow-out jam. There were 5 saxophones on stage at once. They blew the roof of the sucka. When the legendary Gregory Davis called out Steve Apple, the Muddy Waters runnith over.
